Before any chargeable work starts, we will explain:

When Lockmaster1 Ltd attends an emergency call-out, time is reserved for your job and travel begins based on the information provided at the time of booking.
If you cancel before we have started travelling, there will normally be no charge.
Once we have started travelling to the job, or once we have arrived on site, our minimum attendance charge may apply.
Once work has started, the full agreed minimum labour charge is payable, even if you decide not to continue, no longer require the work, gain access by another means, or ask us to stop.
Our standard minimum labour charge is:
£125 for the first 30 minutes all inclusive price labour and material
Additional labour after the first hour is charged at:
£45 per 15 minutes all inclusive
If parts have been fitted, ordered, opened, specially sourced, or supplied for your job, these may also be chargeable.
Before starting work, we will explain the likely cost and obtain your agreement to proceed.
We do not charge a separate call-out fee for most local jobs.
However, once work begins, our minimum labour charge applies.
First hour labour: £125 all inclusive
After the first hour, additional labour is charged in 15-minute periods.
Additional labour: £45 per 15 minutes all inclusive
This charge may apply for fault finding, adjustments, repairs, inspections, legal reports, or reviewing work carried out by another company.

Where possible, we always aim to open locks using professional non-destructive methods.
However, non-destructive entry is not always possible. This can depend on:
If drilling or replacement is required, we will explain this before proceeding.
If keys are lost and the lock has to be opened, we will advise whether the lock should be replaced for security.
Where we have agreed this in advance, a replacement lock may be supplied as part of the service.
This does not apply where the lock, door, cylinder, gearbox or full mechanism is already broken, faulty, seized, worn, misaligned or damaged.
Most new locks and parts supplied by Lockmaster1 Ltd come with a 12-month guarantee against faulty parts or workmanship.
The guarantee does not cover:
If a door is badly aligned or in poor condition, we may advise additional repair work to prevent future lock failure.
When moving into a new property, we recommend changing the locks as soon as possible.
Before choosing a lock, it is worth checking your home insurance policy. Some insurers require specific lock standards, such as British Standard locks on timber doors or high-security cylinders on uPVC and composite doors.
Fitting the wrong type of lock could affect an insurance claim.
